Upravo obrušen uzorak na Vera Rubin Ridge...
Boja sam "white-balanced" ručno, približno...toliko da vidimo o čemu se radi.
Hematit je evidentno prisutan..nastaje uz prisustvo vode, jelda.

Između ove lokacije (Vera Rubin Ridge) i onoga što vidimo u pozadini, je širok prostor,
kojega zbog konfiguracije samo djelomično vidimo. Tamo će se proći kroz godinu-dvije, ako s roverom bude sve u redu.

Nastupia je zima, tako da će se povećati udio elektrike za grijanje instrumentarija, a s time će se i nekoliko usporiti kretanje naprijed. Naime temperatura u zimsko doba zna past i do -110°C (u prosjeku cca -90°C). Instrumenti i motori moraju biti grijani na minimalno -40°C . Nuklearna baterija proizvodi 3kW-h električne energije...energija za 30 100W sijalica - upaljene 1 sat. Težina vozila je cca 900 kg a vozi se stalno po uzbrdici.
