While most of his peers were playing video games, Jackson Oswalt managed to complete an impressive feat of physics. The teen, from Memphis, Tennessee, finished his reactor and achieved fusion at the tender age of 13. Jackson said she started searching about ‘nuclear things’ on the internet because that is what interested him. Using just internet research, he built a steel machine made up of vacuums, pumps and chambers. Serena Williams cartoon showing her having a tantrum cleared of racism His creation is able to smash atoms together through force to release bursts of energy. He told Fox News: ‘The start of the process was just learning about what other people had done with their fusion reactors. ‘After that, I assembled a list of parts I needed. ‘I got those parts off eBay primarily and then often times the parts that I managed to scrounge off eBay weren’t exactly what I needed. ‘So, I’d have to modify them to be able to do what I needed for my project.’ Teen builds working nuclear fusion reactor at home Play Video Loaded: 0% 0:00Progress: 0% PlayMute Current Time 0:00 / Duration Time 0:59 Fullscreen Jackson was able to make his creation with the help of his parents, who spent between $8,000 and $10,000 on parts. They also helped him convert a spare room at their home into his laboratory. Father Chris said that Jackson was very ‘driven’ but he still had no real idea of what the project involved. Mum faked doctor's note for three daughters then took them to woodland and shot them dead He asked experts to come and talk to his son about the dangers involved with working on the potentially deadly fusion reactor. Jackson said it was a case of trial and error with his work and he often relied on help from people on the internet. He said: ‘After a while, it became pretty simple to realize how it all worked together, but at the start it was definitely figuring out one aspect of it, memorizing what that actually meant and then moving on to a different aspect of it. ‘Eventually all those pieces of the puzzle came together to make a good project.’ The reactor in the spare room in Memphis, Tennessee (Picture: Fox) Chris said it was fascinating watching his son working on his project, alongside his usual studies. The proud dad added: ‘Being a parent of someone that was as driven as he was for 12 months was really impressive to see. ‘I mean it was everyday grinding. Everyday learning something different. Everyday failing and watching him work through all those things.’ Jackson’s efforts have been verified by Richard Hull from the research consortium.

nije prvi.

David Charles Hahn (October 30, 1976 – September 27, 2016) sometimes called the "Radioactive Boy Scout" or the "Nuclear Boy Scout", was an American who attempted to build a homemade breeder reactor at the age of 17.

A scout in the Boy Scouts of America, Hahn conducted his experiments in secret in a backyard shed at his mother's house in Commerce Township, Michigan. While his reactor never reached criticality, Hahn attracted the attention of local police when he was stopped on another matter and they found material in his vehicle that troubled them, and he warned that it was radioactive. His mother's property was cleaned up by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ten months later as a Superfund cleanup site. Hahn attained Eagle Scout rank shortly after his lab was dismantled.[1]

While the incident was not widely publicized initially, it became better known following a 1998 Harper's article by journalist Ken Silverstein. Hahn was also the subject of Silverstein's 2004 book, The Radioactive Boy Scout.[1] As an adult, Hahn served in the U.S. Navy and Marines. He was subsequently treated for mental illness, and his death at age 39 was related to drug and alcohol use.

kad gradiš nuklearni reaktor bez ikakve zaštite protiv zračenja izgledaš ovako:

Remember David Hahn, the "radioactive boy scout" who, as a teen in 1994, tried to build a nuclear reactor in his garden shed? Sadly, he died this fall. So far, the cause of death is unknown.

In 2007, Hahn was arrested for stealing smoke detectors (which contain trace amounts of a radioactive element used to ionize smoke particles so they can be detected) from his apartment complex. His mugshot (above) reveals that Hahn had a lot of sores on his face that look like radiation poisoning.
